About the Role
The Senior Accountant team member is responsible for 5-7 clients at a time. This includes maintaining their accounting software, month-end closings, financial statement preparation, AP, AR, Payroll and creating weekly cash flow reports for their clients.
Senior Accountants are client-facing, so a positive personality is ideal! 😉
Our expectations of our Senior Accountants:
You must be legally authorized to work in the US.
At least 2-5 years of public accounting experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas and macros a plus).
QuickBooks Online experience ideal.
Should understand financial statements (journal entries, month-end closings, etc.).
Works well under pressure with limited supervision.
1,040-hour work year (20 hours per week * 52 weeks) can be done in any manner; additional time required when onboarding new clients.
Oversees 1 - 2 Accounting Specialists.
Have dedicated, private workspace.
Working in a growing, energetic distributed / remote team environment
Flexible schedule, can work around family functions
Simple IRA match, Earned Time Off
Home office stipend
$25,000 - $32,000 annually commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
